Are Flights Included ?
Flights are not included in the price. When you book your flight, you'll need to arrange travel from your city to Cairo ,Egypt (Cairo International Airport), . Almost everything else is included.
Pro tip: Arrive in Cairo at least one day early to acclimate tbefore our first ceremony.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, valid travel insurance for your trip to Egypt and all experiences is a requirement to attend.
You will need to provide proof of having travel insurance previous to initiating the rertreat.
Can I share a room with a friend?
Yes! Double bookings are possible and encouraged—transformation deepens when witnessed by someone who knows your before and after. Each guest must fill out a separate application form and mention your friend so we know you're booking together.
Do you have a payment plan?
Yes, you can secure your spot with our 4-month payment plan, so long as the retreat date is more than 4 months away. For special requests, please reach out—we do what we can to help you make this experience happen. Please note that a small surcharge applies for payment plan options.
Is there yoga/exercise on this retreat?
This is not a yoga retreat or workout experience. This is a sacred activation where your body becomes the vessel for transformation. Movement supports the deep ceremonial work—helping energy move, emotions release, and integration land in your cells. If you feel called to additional personal practice during free time, honor what your body needs.
Is there Free Time During the Retreat ?
Yes, you'll have free time for meals and personal integration. Some afternoons are open for rest, journaling, exploring the Egypt, or simply being with what's moving through you. At the start, you'll receive the full six-day schedule with all ceremonies and timeframes—but this journey also honors spaciousness. Transformation needs room to breathe.
What are the room configurations like?
At Rio Sagrado, we offer double occupancy rooms with two twin beds . All rooms feature river views, heated floors, and scenic terraces.
If you prefer a private single room, we can arrange this for an additional charge—please indicate your preference in your application.
Is this retreat open to all genders?
Yes, this retreat is open to all genders. We honor the sacred masculine and sacred feminine within each soul.
Can I Skip the Plant Medicine Ceremony?
Absolutely. The sacred plant journey is offered on one day designed for deep revelation, but participation is entirely your choice. You're welcome to be present at the lagoon, connect with Pachamama, participate in the integration ceremony, and hold space for your soul family without taking the medicine. Your transformation is honored however it unfolds.
Is it allowed to drink alcohol during the retreat?
As this is a sacred initiation and deep healing journey, we suggest you avoid alcohol during the retreat. Plant medicine ceremonies and energetic work require a clear vessel. Your body is preparing for—and integrating—profound transformation. We suggest you honor the process with full presence.
What is the difference between a retreat and therapy?
This retreat is not therapy and is not led by therapists. It is a sacred initiation—a holistic ceremonial experience guided by shamanic masters, paqos, and consciousness facilitators. We fully support traditional therapy, counseling, and other healing modalities. Many participants are also in therapy and find the retreat deepens their therapeutic work by accessing what talk therapy alone cannot reach.
Is this retreat for beginners or those further along in their healing journey?
We welcome seekers at all stages—from those just igniting to their call for transformation to those deep in their healing path. Whether this is your first ceremony or your fiftieth, the Sacred Valley meets you where you are. Ancient wisdom doesn't require prerequisites. The land, the medicine, and the ceremonies reveal exactly what you're ready to receive.
